In the spring of 2011 we purchased our first two Berkshire sows. The first piglets were born early in the summer. During most of the year, the pigs enjoy running around outside with the cattle in the pasture, relaxing in the sun and digging new mud holes. The piglets enjoyed maneuvering under the fence to eat the apples that fell off the tree on the other side.
Pork should be ready sometime in the winter or early spring of 2012.
