Maple Syrup

One of our maple sap pails hangs in the snow-covered bush.

In 2009 we purchased a farm near Zurich. We discovered later on that the bush was filled with sugar maples and the decision was made to get into the maple syrup business. In February of 2010, we tapped our first maple tree and proceeded to tap about another 200. In 2011 we doubled that number. We do everything the old fashioned way, with pails and a lot of walking.

Our maple syrup can be purchased at the farm, at the farmers market, or at the following stores:
